§4.2Contraindications
- Wilson disease or any disorder of copper handling would be an absolute contraindication on mechanistic grounds
- Not otherwise established — no marketing authorisation as a medicine
§4.3Warnings and precautions
- Systemic administration of a copper complex has not been studied and carries an unquantified copper-loading risk
- Cosmetic ingredient status is not a therapeutic approval
- Injectable preparations of a copper complex raise particular sterility and particulate concerns
