How to notify the Institute of material you believe should not be published, and how such a notice is handled.
§1Copyright
The Institute reproduces bibliographic metadata, quotes short passages under fair dealing for criticism and review, and publishes its own text and figures. It does not reproduce full text of any third-party publication.
A rightsholder who believes material has been reproduced beyond fair dealing may notify the secretariat in writing, identifying the material, the work from which it derives, and the basis of the claim. The Institute assesses such notices on their merits and acts promptly where a notice is well founded.
§2Factual disputes
A dispute about a fact is not a takedown matter and is not handled as one. The Institute corrects errors of fact on evidence, records every correction in the corrections log, and publishes the correction whether or not it changes a conclusion.
§3Personal information
Register entries and comment-period submissions are published with the consent of the person named. A person who wishes an entry amended or removed may write to the secretariat. Where a submission is removed at the request of its author, the Institute records that a submission was removed and at whose request, so that the disposition table remains complete.
