§1.1Definition

Domain-specific cognitive function or protection against cognitive decline, assessed by standardised neuropsychological batteries or clinical dementia rating.

§1.2Anchor and additional outcomes

The Institute designates one anchor outcome per indication so that estimates for different compounds are reported on a common measure. The anchor for this indication is the first outcome below.

1. Domain-specific cognitive test scores
2. Clinical Dementia Rating sum of boxes
3. Biomarker change (amyloid, tau, neurofilament light)

§1.3State of the evidence

The Institute assesses 7 compounds in this indication, drawing on 18 trial records and 3 evidence syntheses. No compound is graded above low certainty in this indication, which the Institute records as the principal finding for it.^[1,2]
